Gideon Palm Tree, [born Gideon Makondetsa Thole on 6 March, 1998] is a Malawian spoken word poet and author. He is better known for his album, Down The Rivers.

EARLY LIFE
Gideon was born in Lilongwe, Malawi. He grew up with his elder sister [died in 2011], before he moved to stay with his mother and step father three years letter.

CAREER
In 2014, Gideon went to Mitundu Secondary School where his love for Literature grew strong and actually started writing poems. February 2018, he released his first book, Sparks Of Reality, and performed his first poem on stage the same year.

In 2020, he released a spoken word album, Down The Rivers, followed by a single, ‘Growing Up’ whilst pursue his career as a teacher at Machinga Teacher’s Training College. Graduating in August, 2021 after writing the book, Moments Lost, was so promising as he would then invest much in poetry, though as a half time career.

Late 2021, Gideon released his spoken word Extended Play [EP], ‘Broken Promise’s, a masterpiece mostly revolving around love concepts and break ups. He worked on it after recording his second album, ‘Let’s Stop Gender Based Violence’ which he planned to release a year after
